Special May BOD Meeting

Dear Neighbors,

The vote for the landscaping contract was 4-1 in favor of approval.  However, because it was not unanimous, it can not be passed outside of a BOD meeting.  Therefore, the BOD will host a special meeting on May 13th at 7pm at Platt High School.  The agenda will only include the landscaping contract and a new motion to purchase an updated version of QuickBooks (See Meeting Minutes page).  We will not be able to contract the landscaping company until after a motion is approved.  The motion will not require a unanimous vote at the open meeting. As always, the meeting will be open to the Association members.  If you cannot attend but would like to provide input, you may do so by emailing the Board.
Regards,
Steve Tommell
President
Hidden Valley Association, Inc.

Have the result of the special board meeting that took place on May 13th been communicated? I see the common area on Hidden Valley Drive has not been mowed this year and is now becoming unsightly to look at. Has Plummer been approved to do the landscaping? How did each board member vote? forced this special meeting.

I’d also like to know how each board member voted that forced this special meeting. Since this is an open association the residents should know the details of the board votes.

    • The special board meeting will take place this upcoming Wednesday, May 13th. Per the bylaws, the results of any votes taken outside the BOD meetings must be recorded in the next BOD meeting minutes on May 13th.

Plummer has not been approved to do the landscaping yet. The motion was turned down 4-1 outside of the meeting. The same motion will be presented at the meeting on May 13th.

I agree that this is an open association and the residents should know the details of the board votes. As stated, they are normally recorded in the meeting minutes of the next meeting. Since you are inquiring, the results were 4 in favor (Tommell, Brigante, Magyar, Waterbury) and 1 against (Parikh).
